ASUS Philippines announced a new Zenfone model, the Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5 S. This is an upgrade over the Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5. The Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5 S has a more powerful chipset (1.5 GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 vs 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410), bigger RAM (3 GB RAM vs 2 GB RAM), and bigger ROM (32 GB vs 16 GB) over the previous model. The difference in price between the 2 models is ₱1,000.
